Job Summary

The Research Associate II position will be from July 2025 through December 2025. You will be working with a PHHS faculty member on a sponsored grant through the National Institutes of Health. This position is for up to 10 hours per week and you will report directly to the faculty member for your assignments.

Responsibilities*

  • Co-lead a team of undergraduate and graduate researchers in the conduct of a study sponsored by NIH especially in the area of Dedoose use and writing of manuscripts
  • Train and oversee team members related to the use of Dedoose
  • Ensure ethical conduct of the research activities
  • Oversee the recruitment of parents and adolescents
  • Resolve issues and recommend/develop new policies related to the study procedures
  • Interview teenagers regarding their telehealth preferences by applying the ethical conduct processes outlined in the research protocol
  • Lead and oversee the conduct of the data entry and analyses
  • Co-write manuscripts for publication
  • Disseminate the findings of the research in the local community through participation in national conferences; the dissemination process and by publishing of findings and presenting results at local healthcare organizations to help improve telehealth services for adolescents
  • Co-develop proposals in response to other National Institutes of Health funding calls to propose research that helps lead to improved telehealth services for adolescents

Required Qualifications*

  • Have earned a Master's degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to serve as a supportive and knowledgeable team leader and to motivate others
  • Extensive experience with qualitative research and the use of Dedoose

Desired Qualifications*

  • Prior experience and/or familiarity with data analyses of qualitative data

Modes of Work

Hybrid

The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence.  On occasion, the employee may be required, and must be available to work on site more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.

Background Screening
