Job Summary
This position supports the recruitment of high-quality applicants to Ross degree programs (BBA, MBA, Part-time MBA, Executive MBA, Global MBA, MSCM, MM, MBAn and MAcc) by providing prospective students the best possible customer service.This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI. The Admissions Assistant responds to a high volume of inquiries received through phone, email, and face-to-face contact in a timely and effective manner. The individual tracks questions and responses, uses standard written responses, and adapts processes to meet customer and organizational needs. In addition, it involves coordinating the processing of applications and forms to prepare for the Admissions Committee's review. The position reports to the Admissions Technology Director.

Responsibilities*
40% Application Processing
- Provide support to the Admissions Technology Director and the Program Directors for the BBA, MBA, Part-time MBA, Executive MBA, Global MBA, and One-Year Masters programs.
- Assist with assigning application evaluations, tracking receipt of application requirements, and collating and mailing admissions documents.
- Develop and maintain electronic communications to notify applicants if application materials are incomplete.
- Maintain electronic unit files with attention to confidentiality via the University's imaging system.
- Manage the technology and systems for three dynamic and different cycles of Ross Undergraduate admissions (Preferred, Regular, and Minor in Business) to ensure timeliness, efficiency, and quality of evaluations and decision communications. Due to the dynamic nature of each admission cycle, the individual will need to be proficient in each process, with each having a different technology base, target population, admission requirement, and review process.
25% Admission Processing
- Enter admissions decisions and generate admission, financial aid/scholarship, and enrollment information letters for admitted students.
- Process I-20s for incoming international students in order for them to obtain student visas.
- Maintain electronic unit files with attention to confidentiality via the University's imaging system.
25% Customer Support
- Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries about our graduate programs and admissions using standard responses and interpretation of routine policies and procedures. Systematically track inquiries using the online ticketing system. Resolve most questions and problems independently and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Identify improvements to standard email responses as needed. Identify FAQs to surface topics that may need a more thorough explanation on our website, ticketing system, and/or marketing materials.
- Work with admitting programs to determine workflow and responsibilities for support staff.
10% Data Loading
- Along with the Admissions Technology Director and other Ross IT staff, help develop policies, templates, and practices around manually loading externally generated data into Salesforce and other Ross systems.
Required Qualifications*
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' progressively responsible office experience, demonstrating administrative capabilities and skills or equivalent higher education and work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Additional Information
Salary Information:
The posting range for this position is $45,100 - $53,000. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
