Job Summary
The UM- Dearborn Wolverine Media Network is seeking DJs for their subsidiary, WUMD. DJs create content for the station's streaming channel and podcasts and provide hosting and musical content for live events connected with the campus community as contracted by other organizations within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and facilitate audio content in either (or both) music or talk show formats for WUMD's streaming and podcasting services.
- Serve as live DJ for events contracted by WUMD, including setup and/or teardown of equipment to facilitate that service. This includes audio and sometimes lighting equipment.
- Be able to maintain and keep your playlist with help from the WUMD Music director.
- You will also be responsible for recording your DJ Practice for a DJ show called Mobile Sound Bytes. The show will need a minimum of 1hr. Along with attending 80% of general meetings (This will not be paid but is a requirement for WUMD Campus Radio Membership).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- Must be able to work in a sitting or standing position.
- Must be able to lift equipment up to 40 lbs if necessary.
- Willing to learn and improve skills.
- Applicants must be over the age of 18.
- Flexible with schedule; willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
