As the Digital Lead, you will manage email projects (Salesforce Marketing Cloud and ThankView) and oversee the synchronous and asynchronous touch points for our Michigan Ross constituents (alumni, donors, friends, parents, faculty/staff) that take place in the cloud. You will ensure all collateral meets accessibility requirements and brand standards.

About the Department
The Office of Advancement drives the fundraising and alumni relations activities of the Ross School of Business.
Responsibilities*
Designing, Building, and Maintaining Marketing Automation Solutions (60%)
- Building and implementing marketing automation solutions within the Marketing Cloud platform to automate processes, integrate data, and personalize customer experiences.
- Introduce and manage marketing automation techniques and email campaigns designed to elicit appropriate actions from defined target audiences according to the email campaign's specific goals.
- Contribute to marketing strategy with content strategy that aligns with short-term and long-term marketing goals.
- Manage email projects through content creation, editing, proofing, quality assurance, and deployment phases.
- Hands-on experience with data extensions, automations, journeys, filters, and triggers in Salesforce Marketing Cloud is strongly preferred.
- Responsible for scaling our ability to provide personalized donor impact reports electronically to hundreds of major donors to the Ross School.
- Oversee and lead the design, build, and management of all lead generation activities from a technical standpoint, including platform management and connection, lead quality assessment, and lead management processes.
- Collaborate with Ross IT and external vendors to ensure the CRM database meets the organization's evolving needs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in CRM management and outreach (email marketing, SMS marketing, lead generation management, etc) to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead Solution design for new marketing initiatives. Analyze business requirements and objectives to tailor a customized marketing solution utilizing Journey Builder and Email Studio, to create automated, personalized marketing campaigns that drive engagement and deliver measurable results.
Digital Donor Journey (20%)
- Develop and execute strategic plans for utilizing marketing technology to achieve organizational goals, including audience segmentation, lead generation, and marketing automation.
- Enhance donor experiences through creating and managing personalized donor journeys.
- Work closely with stakeholders to produce and deploy digital communications.
- Represent Ross Advancement in the campus-wide Digital Donor Experience working group Work with the Print Lead on the digital aspects of delivering multi-channel communications projects.
Analytical Guidance (10%)
- Provides analytical guidance to the project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Analyze campaigns and recommend best practices, A/B testing, new trends in email marketing, etc.
- Ability to generate and communicate reports using marketing automation and web analytics tools to highlight key email performance indicators.
Administrative and Other (10%)
- Gather, record and properly store information about communications utilizing collaboration tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Required qualifications for the senior-level job classification:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in email marketing, including 2 years in automated workflows.
- Skilled in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; solid understanding of email best practices, CAN-SPAM.
- At least 1 year working in Salesforce CRM.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for email development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in email marketing, including 1 year in automated workflows.

- Some experience working in Salesforce CRM.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for email development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Working conditions / Physical requirements
- Requires the ability to travel to various locations to conduct work and deliver materials.
- The person in this position routinely moves through the facility to attend meetings/events and access files or information.
- May require work during early mornings, nights, and/or weekends.

Salary Information:
The posting range for this position is $81,000 - $104,600 for the senior level, and $63,300 - $78,150 for the intermediate level. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
