Job Summary

The University of Michigan Shared Services Center (U-M SSC) is a customer service organization focused on providing user-friendly and cost-effective administrative services to the university community. The SSC offers key financial and human resource transaction services to customers.

Reporting to the Employment Process Supervisor, you will serve as a critical member of the Employment Processing Team. You will be assigned to a Regional I-9 Center and will process all I-9 paperwork for university employees.

Work Locations:

You are 100% on-site in Ann Arbor, MI. You will be placed at one of the following i9 processing locations: The Michigan Union (Central Campus); The Shared Services Center; or Pierpont Commons (North Campus)

  • Fall Peak Season (Aug 18 - Sep 22)
  • Training starting Aug 11

Responsibilities*

  • Provide 100% on-site, customer-facing services for I-9 and MCard processing during an 8 am - 5 pm working schedule, and for peak I-9 processing assistance.
  • Process I-9 paperwork for new and existing employees.
  • Process I-9 recertification, e-Verifications, remote I-9s, and reciprocal I-9s.

Required Qualifications*

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience providing Customer Service
  • Intermediate level proficiency with data entry and computer skills 
  • 1+ years of experience with business software solutions
