Responsibilities*
Clerical Excellence: Perform a variety of administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency, including:
- Answering and directing phone calls with professionalism and care.
- Accurately entering patient, study, and physician information into the Radiology Information System (Radiant).
- Managing digital tools such as MiChart, faxing, scanning, and phone systems.
- Coordinating control sheets and managing workflow for various imaging services (General Imaging, Mammography, CT, MRI, Bone Density, Ultrasound).
- Promptly handling call reports, STAT reads, and patient flow.
Customer Service & Teamwork:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
- Collaborate with staff and providers to ensure a seamless and supportive environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a strong sense of teamwork.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- When needed, assumes the responsibility of orientating new hires while maintaining one?s own responsibilities and duties.
Operational Support:
- Schedule and coordinate radiology procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Uphold attendance, dress code, and departmental standards.
- Support coworkers and interdepartmental teams as needed.
- Provide chaperone support if needed
- The work environment may require additional duties as required.
Physical stamina
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing. Physical ability to stand, bend, push, pull, reach.
- Analytical and clinical skills necessary to determine the most appropriate method of providing care specific to patient's physical ability and/or limitations.
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal effectively with and instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress; ability to comprehend and follow physicians verbal and written request and prescriptions; ability to work effectively in a diverse atmosphere with a variety of hospital personnel and/or patients.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of clerical equipment and supplies necessary to care for patient.
Required Qualifications*
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience (healthcare setting preferred).
Desired Qualifications*
- Familiarity with MiChart, Sectra, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures is a bonus.
- Previous successful experience in a similar role within Radiology
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
