What You'll Do
Lead a variety of Business Systems-related projects. Provide daily leadership of Merit's Project Management Organization (PMO). Specifically, act as a project manager to lead several parallel implementation efforts for Merit's business systems, organization risk preparedness, and corporate software development needs.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects determined by Merit's executives and/or Technology Services leadership
- Assemble project teams and assign work tasks to complete projects
- Holistically evaluate ways to utilize technology and project management methods to innovate how technology is used and projects are managed at Merit
- Lead recurring internal project coordination meetings and external Vendor meetings
- Contribute to strategic planning of Merit's software development, system integration, and new system implementation roadmap
- Manage enterprise dashboards for leadership's visibility into project performance and tracking
- Lead the process of evaluating, recommending, and deploying future applications for the organization based on documented requirements and lead the integration of additional features within existing systems in the business systems framework
- Manage staff requests for new functionality, changing existing functionality, and fixing bugs/problems through an online ticketing system
- Communicate project progress, updates, timelines, risks, and assigned deliverables across the organization
- Identify and help implement improvements and efficiencies to the Business Systems project management process
- Address emails, phone calls, and project deliverables throughout the day
Remote work in Michigan permitted up to 80% of the week.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, or related major +2 years of experience in medium to complex project implementation to include experience with:
- Implementing core business systems
- Software development projects
- Technology evaluation and innovation projects
- Organizational risk assessment and preparedness
- Project management software/tools
- Documentation management programs
- Leading, coaching, and managing teams
