Job Summary
The Transplant Clinical Research Office conducts clinical trials for solid organ transplants including kidney, heart, lung, and liver with principal investigators in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Surgery. This is a temporary, part-time position, with an estimated 8 hours per week.
This Transplant position responsibilities include completion of regulatory materials, reviews of protocols, retrieving and entering relevant data, and conducting other study required items.
Responsibilities*
- Prompt completion of training activities;
- Review patient eligibility using health and medical information, including medical record data;
- Maintenance of training, education, and knowledge regarding conduct of clinical research in accordance with federal and ICH GCP;
- Professional communication with other members of the study team, research scientists, physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals;
- Regular and prompt communication with full time staff regarding status and availability
Required Qualifications*
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in health related field;
- Affinity for teamwork;
- Proficiency with computers;
- Desire to work in a fast paced, patient oriented environment to further scientific knowledge;
- Positive attitude and desire to continually learn and grow professionally;
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
Desired Qualifications*
- Previous experience in clinical research;
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and practice;
- Familiarity with solid organ transplant patient care and terminology;
- Familiarity with Michigan Medicine self-service data tools;
Work Locations
- Coordinator work is currently being conducted in a hybrid model with a mixture of remote and on-site work as needed to perform the requirements of the role while maintaining high quality and service level to principal investigators and patients.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
