Job Summary

The College of Business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is seeking applications for a part-time lecturer in Decision Sciences, starting January 2026. The position will be responsible for teaching students enrolled in both introductory and upper-level decision sciences courses. Experience in some combination of the following areas is desired: industry specific analytics, data-driven decision-making, statistics, AI and machine learning, optimization, and behavioral decision theory. The ability to teach at the graduate level is preferred but not required.

Who We Are

The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of three campuses of the University of Michigan. Required Qualifications*

Successful candidates must have a graduate degree in Decision Sciences, Analytics, or related disciplines (Master's or Ph.D.) and significant professional experience. Other professional qualifications, previous experience teaching decision sciences at the university level, recent relevant work experience, and/or a history of scholarly research and publications, are highly preferred.
