Responsibilities*

Faculty research focused position in the Human Factors Group of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). Daily activities include conducting research, performing experiments, analyzing data, and coordinating activities with other faculty, research staff, and students. Ongoing activities include writing reports and journal articles, presenting at conferences, writing proposals to secure additional funding, engaging with students and mentoring UM student research programs (UROP, SURE, MDP), and serving on UMTRI administrative committees. Hybrid work-from-home and in office permitted.

Required Qualifications*

Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, or other field related to transportation or mobility with research focus on driver behavior and decision making + at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed professional journal and at least one professional conference presentation, both regarding driver behavior.
