Responsibilities*
Maintain components of current computerized inventory control system to maximize efficiency. This includes keeping stock levels current, maintaining quantities without over or under stocking, quantities fluctuate based on the academic calendar. Assist in reconciling stock shortages/overages. Perform physical inventory counts of all areas holding stock. Run fulfillment, pick, invoice and deliver in-house orders, including evaluating orders for correctness and maintain timely and accurate records. Reconcile receipts with Stock Purchase orders, receive product in the Inventory System and Put-away stock.
Receiving (reconcile bills of lading &/or packing lists with Purchase Orders) and redistribution of multiple deliveries on a daily basis to include but not limited to UPS, Overnight Delivery Companies (FedEx), Freight, Owens & Minor, Fisher Scientific and Office Depot. Complete quarterly audit of all medical gas cylinder rentals and report to the supervisor for recharge. Assist quarterly and end of fiscal year in booking Inventory with financial operations. Operate mechanical or hydraulic jack and dock levelers.
Receive and sort all incoming school-wide mail including USPS and Interdepartmental
Required Qualifications*
Graduation from High School. Routinely moves throughout the building to transport packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Constantly position self to unload, stock and deliver packages as shipments arrive. The person in this position frequently uses mechanical and hydraulic pallet jacks. Reasonable knowledge of the methods used in the receipt and distribution of materials through an automated inventory control system. Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact effectively and professionally with Faculty, Staff, Students and Public. Must be goal oriented and able to successfully take tasks to completion. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demands with attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent attendance record. Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
