Job Summary
Based at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the Quantum Research Institute (QRI) is recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers working across quantum information science, engineering, and technology (QISET). QRI aims to strengthen interdisciplinary research among faculty, universities, research centers, industry partners, and government agencies to address global quantum challenges and prepare a new generation of researchers to drive groundbreaking research.
As the home of the NSF Quantum Virtual Laboratory: Quantum Science and Demonstration Quantum Photonic Integration and Deployment project (NQVL:QSTD QuPID), QRI is driving next-generation Quantum Light Information Technology (QLIT), including Plug-and-Quantum-Sense Chips, quantum transduction, atomic qubits, and quantum error correction.
Postdoctoral Fellows may join existing QRI research programs or launch new directions across the QISET landscape.
QRI hosts 23 University of Michigan faculty members serving as Fellow Mentors and leading advances in quantum spectroscopy, sensing, photonics, semiconductor quantum optics, quantum materials, and quantum algorithms. Postdoctoral Fellows will collaborate with at least one QRI Fellow Mentor.
Eligibility
Applicants must have a PhD prior to the start date of the Postdoctoral Fellowship, but conferred within the last three (3) years.
At least one committed QRI Fellow Mentor (co-mentorship encouraged). The list of QRI Fellow Mentors can be found here: https://quantum.umich.edu/fellows/.
