Job Summary

Performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This is a part-time 20-hour, temporary position that works under supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Responsibilities*

  • Manipulate vendor files and upload to vendor websites
  • Validate data for dashboards, vendor use etc.
  • Create tables and manually modify data
  • Use Excel to create pivots, and analyze data

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Proficiency in use of computers and software, including Microsoft Office products. 
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple items simultaneously and produce high-quality work in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. 
  • Demonstrated experience efficiently and professionally handling and protecting items confidential in nature. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, build trust in the working relationships with other staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Desired Qualifications*

Knowledge of University policies and procedures. Experience in MiChart billing system. One to two years of office experience and hospital or physician's billing office.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
