Responsibilities*

  • Conduct data management and analysis, generate DSMB reports, work with analyst and project manager to resolve data queries, generate data reports, shell tables, etc.
  • Writing and authorship: publications, grants, progress reports, DSMB reports
  • Oversees study team eReg study binders, including for multi-site trials, assists coordinators with intial applications, continuing reviews, amendments and other reporting. Maintains trial master file.
  • Coordinates aspects of clinical research trials, including recruitment, obtaining consent, randomization, follow-up visits, and data entry. 

Required Qualifications*

  • Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position
  • The candidate should have experience working on clinical research trials, 5 or more years is preferred.  
  • An understanding of regulatory knowledge or willingness to learn is required. 
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and collaborating with internal and external team members is important. 
  • Must be able to work on site in Ann Arbor at least 50% of time. 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Knowledge related to FDA trials with a strong understanding of the research process is preferred. 
  • Mater's degree, specific professional/Doctorate degree preferred. 

Modes of Work

Additional Information

This is a 1-year limited term position. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate, and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits.  This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
