Job Summary

BMC2 is a collaborative consortium dedicated to improving the quality of care and outcomes in patients who undergo cardiovascular procedures across the State of Michigan. The registry will take a population health-based approach to measuring outcomes and improving quality of care for patients with heart failure. It will bring together diverse stakeholders including patients, specialists, primary care physicians, and pharmacists. 


Support for BMC2 is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships Program. 


BMC2 is seeking an experienced Admin Manager to administratively support, coordinate, and implement this new registry alongside BMC2?s other registries. This role will report to the BMC2 Program Manager and will work collaboratively with core program leadership, external partners, and current members of the BMC2 team. This role will oversee the day-to-day activities as the program matures.

Responsibilities*

Leadership 

  • Responsible for providing leadership and professional expertise or services through leveraging the knowledge and skills of others.
  • Recommends administrative strategic direction through developing tools and processes to streamline the administrative hub of BMC2.
  • Oversee financial and reconciliation processes

Management

  • Coordinates operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to direct reports. 
  • Has measurable impact on operational effectiveness, attainment of BMC2s objectives, service to customers and attainment of goals.
  • Responsible for all direct reports staff activities related to human resource management (hiring, promotion, salary changes, performance coaching, disciplinary actions, training and development, ensuring consistent application of organizational policies, etc.)
  • Operational skills to manage resources, set priorities, develop accountability measures, and achieve goals and desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing others and maximizing strengths, talent, and productivity.
  • Guide team towards a wellness, empathetic, and compassionate culture.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Administrative

  • Provides complex calendar support to BMC2 Leadership.
  • Guides tasks related to large scale meets across the state and registries within BMC2.
  • Supports budget development.
  • Supports contract and legal agreement updates.
  • Oversees day-to-day office operations.
  • Serves as the primary contact for group email communications; field inquiries and troubleshoot requests (e.g., REDCap, P4P, attendance, scheduling).
  • Supports P4P preparation, scoring, and deliverable management; update annual internal deliverables table.
  • Attends meetings to oversee on-site event logistics.
  • Monitors expenditures and reconcile Statements of Activity (SOA).
  • Procure office supplies and technology; reconcile purchasing card transactions in M-Pathways and Emburse.
  • Organize professional development, team volunteer activities, and holiday events, in collaboration with management.

Event & Meeting Coordination

  • Oversees the scheduling, organization, and implementation of virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, and trainings.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with event venues and vendors.
  • Communicate with speakers regarding event logistics, presentations, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate CME applications for events; gather speaker information.
  • Oversee travel arrangements for staff, faculty, and guests.
  • Attend meetings to support on-site event logistics.
  • Assist in preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Annual Reports for BCBSM, including attendance reporting.
  • Establish partnerships with community organizations for event support.

Site Management

  • Collaborate with compliance on signatures for Participation Agreements and amendments.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new sites, including agreement collection and DRCF documentation.
  • Oversee registry site list management (site numbers, participation, survey results, testimonials).
  • Issue participation letters as needed

Required Qualifications*

  • At least ten (10) years of progressive administrative experience.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development.
  • Ability to analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and make independent decisions on matters of significance within the scope of job responsibilities, without immediate direction; demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated integrity, strong initiative, problem-solving skills, be highly reliable, retain a sense of ownership and accountability for workload, be flexible and resilient, provide excellent customer service, and possess expert follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with and build professional relationships across all organizational levels; demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain productivity and flexibility under pressure and able to meet deadlines.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
