Job Summary

The Department of Cardiac Surgery, Section of Basic and Translational Research, at Michigan Medicine invite applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the area of molecular mechanisms for heart disease.  The individual will be responsible for performing basic and translational research as an assistant professor within the research labs of the department. The individual will develop and perform scientific protocol, organize and discuss results, as well as submit scientific manuscripts and grants. The position involves conducting independent research, collaborating on multidisciplinary projects, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions to the treatment of heart disease.

Required Qualifications*

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in biomedical research and 5-10 years of experience in bench science.
