Job Summary

This role is responsible for enhancing CIT marketing through the development of materials (printed brochures, video display content, etc.) and the implementation of marketing strategies. Strategies may include the organization and implementation of events for the primary purpose of marketing CIT.

This position reports directly to the Communications & Marketing Manager

Responsibilities*

Marketing Implementation

  • Develop Annual Schedule of Marketing Events
    • Event intake management
    • CIT personnel communications and management
    • Outside entity (vendor, partner, etc.) communications and management
  • Post-event logistics
    • Communication, debriefing, and evaluation

Marketing Research and Analysis

  • Development and Analysis
    • Determines marketing strategies based on partner and CIT needs
  • Creative Direction
    • Create and implement strategies (including events) for marketing CIT
  • Quality Control
    • Website and printed materials proofing
    • Determine marketing and promotional needs
    • Coordination with the appropriate marketing platform (brochures, social media team, video monitors, website, etc.)

Required Qualifications*

  • Must be a current UM-Flint staff
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, or related field
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience that is directly relevant to the job duties of this position

Modes of Work

Hybrid:

The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
