Job Summary

A Research assistant position is open in the Michigan Institute for Imaging Technology and Translation (MIITT) in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Applicants will work with MIITT faculty to complete translational imaging research studies.

The research assistant will collaborate with faculty and postdoctoral fellows to evaluate novel MRI technologies and apply these technologies to assess clinical outcomes. The candidate will be expected to participate in study participant screening and recruitment, operation of the scanner, data acquisition and analysis, image evaluation, and statistical analysis. 
 

Responsibilities*

50% Perform Translational Research laboratory tasks including Data Collection, Tabulation, and Data Analysis
25% Abstract, Manuscript, and Grant data Preparation
15% Participate in group laboratory activities. 
10% Other general laboratory duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*

Applicants should have a B.Sc. in Science, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related field with a focus on medical imaging. 

It is essential that applicants have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and leadership qualities. Researchers will be encouraged to work in a collaborative group setting, and will interact with multiple faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and student trainees.

Modes of Work
