Job Summary

A research laboratory in the Department of Radiology, University of Michigan is looking for a highly qualified, self-motivated post- doctoral fellow to join our research program in computer-aided diagnosis and AI (CAD-AI).

Responsibilities*

The research will involve development of decision support systems using computer vision, quantitative image analysis, deep learning methods for detection, diagnosis, and quantitative analysis of abnormalities with multimodal data, including clinical and radiological data, such as MR, CT and pathological images.

Required Qualifications*

The ideal candidate will have:

A PhD degree in computer science, electrical or biomedical engineering, or medical physics, 

Training or work experience in medical imaging, digital image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep neural networks, and statistics

Hands-on experiences in software design and implementation using Python, C/C++, and Matlab, under Windows and Linux environment,

Strong communication skills, and ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team. 

Desired Qualifications*

Any of the following qualifications will be a plus

Knowledge and experience in medical imaging,

Experience in development of graphics software and user interfaces, 

Experience in development of software in a group environment.

Modes of Work
