As the Manager, HR Technology & Analytics, you will set the vision for how data, systems, and insights shape workforce strategy across one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. You will move the organization beyond reporting to true analytics, to where leaders rely on your team not just for data, but for clarity, direction, and action.
You will partner directly with senior HR and IT leaders to define and execute a modern HR Digital Roadmap; bringing together systems, analytics, automation, and AI to elevate how HR delivers value.
This role is built for someone who combines strategic thinking, technical depth, and executive-level influence, and is energized by building something that matters.
Reports to the Senior Director, Compensation, HRIS & Payroll.
Responsibilities*
Set the Strategy
- Define and lead the enterprise vision for HR technology and people analytics
- Shape and execute a multi-year HR Digital Roadmap aligned to organizational priorities
- Position HR analytics as a core driver of business strategy
Elevate Analytics to Influence Decisions
- Transform data into insight, narrative, and action for senior leaders
- Build advanced analytics capabilities that inform workforce planning and strategy
- Establish excellence in data communication and visualization
Modernize HR Through Technology & AI
- Identify and implement opportunities leveraging automation, AI, and machine learning
- Lead HR system evolution including integrations and enhancements
- Drive innovation that improves employee and manager experience
Lead with Impact

Influence Across the Enterprise

Required Qualifications*
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, HR) or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR technology or analytics
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Experience with enterprise HR systems (PeopleSoft or similar)
- Experience with analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Business Objects)
- Experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives

Modes of Work

Work Locations
This position will require 3 days per week onsite in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
