Job Summary
The University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research (ISR) seeks a temporary Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Director's Office. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities*
- Greet visitors and answer/route incoming calls and emails
- Schedule meetings and send calendar invites based on the provided direction
- Prepare basic meeting materials (agendas, copies, Zoom links)
- Take and distribute meeting notes or action items
- Assist with event logistics (room setup, catering coordination, check-in)
- Provide general support for team projects as assigned
Required Qualifications*
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience supporting senior leaders
Strong calendar management and meeting coordination experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting tools
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Experience in academic or higher education settings preferred

Additional Information
This is a full-time on-site temporary position that we hope to start by May 1st and anticipate working through September 30, 2026.
