DSIP Program Components
Twelve-week internship allows you to earn a summer wage working four days a week alongside some of UM?s top fundraising professionals, gaining high-level experience and building your resume. Offered exclusively to University of Michigan undergraduates, D-SIP provides a unique, paid opportunity to work alongside fundraising professionals, develop new skills and prepare for a rewarding future in philanthropy.
Coursework
A weekly three-credit philanthropy course taught by UM faculty with presentations from leading philanthropists and UM leaders helps you network for your future.
Leadership Development
Through workshops, retreats, and hand-on consulting projects with area non-profits you will build your professional community, reflect on your strengths and develop your personal brand leadership skills you will need to build a career and pursue the causes that matter to you.
Required Qualifications*
University of Michigan undergraduate
Desired Qualifications*
Current undergraduates (including graduating seniors) who express interest in the development field, non-profit organization, or philanthropic efforts.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
