Job Summary

The Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center (FDTC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Associate to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial in providing seamless and efficient support to our patients, their families, referring physicians, and healthcare staff. Our center specializes in advanced diagnostics and treatments, and the role you play will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities*

  • Create a great first impression: Act as the primary point of contact for patients?welcoming them, managing check-in/check-out, handling calls, and coordinating appointments with care and efficiency.
  • Keep the clinic moving: Orchestrate patient flow by scheduling visits, procedures, and follow-ups while ensuring accurate registration and seamless coordination across teams.
  • Be the organizational backbone: Provide essential clerical and administrative support, manage multi-line phones, and help maintain a structured, fast-paced workflow.
  • Coordinate complex care: Work closely with providers and multidisciplinary teams to schedule specialized procedures and manage referral queues, ensuring no patient falls through the cracks.
  • Own the details: Maintain accurate patient records by preparing charts, scanning documentation, and organizing files with precision and confidentiality.
  • Support billing accuracy: Assist with collecting and processing billing information, verifying documentation, and coordinating with referring providers when needed.
  • Manage communication channels: Handle incoming faxes, referrals, and requests, ensuring timely follow-up and proper routing to keep care on track.
  • Ensure quality and compliance: Follow established protocols for documentation, billing, and patient privacy while keeping records current and organized.
  • Drive daily efficiency: Stay on top of task queues, callbacks, referrals, and reporting to ensure all responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications*

?    High school diploma or GED or equivalent education are necessary.
?    2 -3 years of experience
?    Must present a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty, management, and staff.
?    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
?    Must be an organized, self-motivated, multi-tasker with strong problem-solving skills.
?    Possess excellent communication, organizational and effective time management skills.
?    Outstanding customer service skills, team player and motivated self-starter.
?    Excellent attendance and punctuality is a must.

Desired Qualifications*

?    At least two years of experience in a health care setting.
?    Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Epic and/or Electronic Health Record a plus.
?    Knowledge of medical terminology.
