Job Summary
There is an open analyst position at the University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to work with Dr. Emily Brice?o. Dr. Brice?o?s laboratory focuses on the study of cognitive aging and Alzheimer?s disease and related dementias across culturally, linguistically, and socially varied populations.
Responsibilities*
- Data management: Data cleaning, variable recoding, maintaining data documentation, dataset merging
- Data documentation: Maintaining clear documentation, including reproducible analytic code, regarding data management and analysis
- Performing statistical analysis, including advanced psychometric analyses using latent variable modeling techniques
- Preparing publication-ready figures and tables
- Drafting publication-ready text describing statistical analyses and results
- Attending and participating in project, individual, and group meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- Master of Science in Applied Statistics
- Experience performing data analysis for international population-based cognitive aging research using the Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol
- Experience with latent variable modeling and measurement invariance analysis using the Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol
- Experience with statistical analysis software (R, Mplus)
Modes of Work

Additional Information
This is a term-limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate, and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct. Extension of the term-limited appointment will be subject to funding availability.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
