Job Summary
The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate in a lab that studies circadian clocks, sleep and metabolism using Drosophila as a model system.
Responsibilities*
The candidate will assume responsibility for performing routine lab work and data analysis including: Drosophila handling, fluorescence microscopy, live imaging, imaging analysis, high-throughput genome sequencing techniques.
Additional responsibilities include: recording and analyzing data under the guidance of the PI or a graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's Degree in Biology and one year of experience is required. The candidates who just finished their undergraduate degree and who want to work in a lab for a few years before applying to graduate school or medical school are preferred.
Desired Qualifications*
Experience in Drosophila handling and confocal microscopy is desired, but not required.

Background Screening
