How to Apply

The ERP Business Consultant supports the technology needs of the Michigan Medicine Inventory and Supply Chain Solutions community, playing a critical role in planning for and transitioning to next-generation cloud ERP applications. The consultant serves as the functional expert for the M-Pathways Financials and Physical Resources System Inventory Management module (PeopleSoft), providing ongoing use, maintenance, and optimization of inventory management systems. This position works directly with customers to gather and analyze requirements for changes to business processes and information systems, documents business and technical requirements, resolves dependency and integration issues, and develops and documents designs for new and existing applications. The consultant identifies opportunities for improvement, recommends and implements enhancements, and executes comprehensive test plans to support system improvements, infrastructure changes, software upgrades, and new releases. Daily responsibilities include providing operational support for assigned applications, evaluating and prioritizing requests, troubleshooting issues, following up with customers to ensure resolution, and leading multiple, concurrent projects by delegating tasks according to staff experience and skill levels. The consultant participates in a support rotation for the Information Systems suite including TeamDynamix (TDX) and other web-based platforms and actively coordinates with developers, service support groups, and vendors to efficiently resolve incidents and technical requests. The role also utilizes GitHub for tracking/reporting issues, managing project tasks, and fostering collaboration across teams. Because the inventory systems directly impact patient care, the consultant must occasionally be available for callback support outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to address urgent issues and maintain critical systems continuity. Work from home permitted up to 100%.
