Job Summary
The School of Nursing (UMSN), Undergraduate Program is recruiting nursing professional(s) with experience in the area of reproductive health to teach a clinical section of N370 Care of the Family: Infants, Children & Adolescents (PNE 303) - Friday (every other week), 630-1700, Allegiance - Jackson, Unit - OB (*site may change) (3 Credits)
Responsibilities*
The School of Nursing (UMSN), Undergraduate Program is recruiting nursing professionals with clinical experience in the area of obstetrics. Childbearing, in the context of the developing family, will be the primary focus of the course. Students will examine factors influencing conception, pregnancy, and birth (i.e., genetics, therapeutic nutrition, perinatal loss, and fertility). Students will examine reproductive health issues in the context of immediate (family) environments to more distal (extended/societal) environments.
*This position includes classroom and/or clinical teaching that may take place in a hospital or clinic setting and may include other on-site work hours at the University of Michigan School of Nursing.
NOTE: This appointment is for Fall 2026 only and is located at Allegiance - Jackson, Michigan
Required Qualifications*
*A Master's degree required.
*Preference will be given to applicants who have both didactic and clinical teaching experience and content expertise in obstetrics in an in-patient setting.
*A nursing license in the State of Michigan is required for this position (current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure).
*Prior to start date must be in compliance with all health requirements including standard precautions such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orientations, licenses/certifications, policies and procedures both internal and external to the University for your assigned classroom(s) and/or clinical site(s).
