Job Summary

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Contacting study participants about study enrollment activities, conducting study orientation calls and qualitative interviews with participants, and completing study documentation.
  • Coordinating recruitment and interview study activities and assisting with coordination of intervention engagement activities. This will involve establishing procedures, training staff, monitoring progress, leading team meetings, and troubleshooting problems that arise in consultation with study leadership. 
  • Assisting with IRB activities for their teams. This will include revising study templates, ensuring the research team list in eResearch is up-to-date, and following established procedures for AE/ORIO reporting. 
  • Day-to-day supervision of a large team of Research Assistants and being the administrative supervisor for some team members.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, public health or related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in clinical, research or people-facing roles 
  • Previous experience leading recruitment activities on a large clinical trial serving youth and adult participants 
  • Prior experience leading study start-up activities

Desired Qualifications*

  • Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree preferred.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Work Schedule

Must be willing to work a variable schedule with some weekend shifts shared across team members.

This position is eligible for on-site, hybrid or fully remote work location. 

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.
