Job Summary
As Program Manager at Michigan Telefund, you will manage the daily operations of the central fundraising call center. You will lead a dynamic student workforce of 40-80 staff members, from determining calling assignments and nightly goals to overseeing staff development and performance targets. You will collaborate with the Associate Director and Annual Giving Coordinator to develop strategies that create fundraising success across all three U-M campuses. Through regular analysis of donor results, caller performance, and operating budgets, you will identify opportunities to maximize outcomes for Telefund and its university partners. You will help develop creative recognition programs that inspire your team. These programs must fulfill budget requirements and meet production deadlines. Moreover, you should bring a high degree of creativity and fresh thinking to the challenges and opportunities presented. You will report to the Associate Director of Annual Giving and Telefund.

The Schedule for this position is as follows: Sundays 12pm-9pm or 1pm-10pm, and Mondays-Thursdays 1pm-10pm EST.
Responsibilities*
- Provide full-time onsite management of evening and weekend calling shifts, including determining calling assignments, setting daily productivity goals, and managing floor staff and performance targets.
- Manage a student workforce of 40-80 staff. This includes hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations. Additionally, foster a culture of accountability and professional growth among student managers, supervisors, and gift officers.
- Oversee phone campaign management, including calling project setup, data preparation, call center software quality controls, and the preparation of scripts, talking points, and support materials.
- Conduct regular data reporting on donor results, caller performance, and operating budgets to maximize Telefund and university partner outcomes and inform short- and long-term strategy.
- Develop and implement creative strategies and programs to improve call center effectiveness, guide fundraising goals, fulfill budget requirements, and meet production deadlines.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience with non-profit annual giving or telemarketing programs.
- Experience leading one or more teams or projects.
- Knowledge of call/contact center environment, statistical analysis, project management, and database management.
- Experience with proofreading and data management processes.
