Job Summary
The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Strategy position starting at the beginning of the 27/28 academic year.
We seek exceptional candidates who can push the boundaries of the strategy field by conducting world-class research and teaching. We encourage applications from individuals who expect to complete their PhD by the position start date, as well as from current assistant professors with a short but strong record of research and teaching excellence. Both emerging scholars and outstanding early-career faculty are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities*
Candidates will be expected to conduct path-breaking research in strategy and teach undergraduate and/or graduate strategy courses. The Strategy Area offers courses on topics such as business strategy, corporate strategy, global strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, technology and innovation strategy, AI and strategy, healthcare strategy, and business and society.
Required Qualifications*
Earned doctorate before the beginning of the 27/28 academic year (i.e., August 2027). Evidence of strong research and teaching potential must be demonstrated. Candidates must have the
ability and motivation to undertake a rigorous program of research and engage in innovative teaching individually as well as within a team.
Desired Qualifications*
Preparation and research in strategic management or a closely related field are highly desired.
