Job Summary

The Department of Family Medicine is seeking an organized person with excellent record-keeping skills to support our research team on a temp basis. This position provides administrative support for a large-scale National Institute of Health (NIH) funded clinical trial examining the impact of delivery of healthy foods to moms with low income on pregnancy weight gain, diet, and outcomes. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position primarily involve supporting data collection and analysis efforts to keep the study on track. This individual will work to abstract medical records data, conduct qualitative analysis, and progress dissemination products as well as providing backup support when necessary to study functions.

Responsibilities*

  • Support study team in conducting day-to-day tasks (placing grocery orders, managing orders, sending surveys, etc.) to ensure necessary tasks are performed

  • Provide backup to study team for other tasks when necessary (staff illness, vacation, etc.) or as requested/desired by this individual and the study team

  • Support qualitative data analysis

  • Support dissemination of study results and products

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor?s degree in health, biology, or nutrition field
  • Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, conscientious, responsible, and excellent organizational skills
  • Internet access and remote work capabilities including Zoom and Teams proficiency
  • Possess initiative and willingness to learn new tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to respect and protect confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Prior experience in or working knowledge of the health care field

Modes of Work

Work Schedule

This is a remote position with temp hours up to 8 per week expected.
