Job Summary

The graphic designer will design flyers, brochures, posters, online graphics, or other visual media for ECE academic programs, events, and courses. This position will work collaboratively with the department and external partners within the University system to ensure that information is accurate and that all brand standards are met. This position is hybrid, with both on-site and remote work scheduled. The work expectation is up to 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities*

  • Evaluate existing materials and and make best practices for displaying content to align with department needs and objectives.
  • Design flyers, brochures, posters, online graphics, or other visual media for ECE academic programs, events, and courses and labs.
  • Collaborate with department and other units to ensure associated webpages or links remain current and dynamic.
  • Follow the University's brand identity guidelines visual aspects such as font, color, and use of logos.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current University of Michigan-Dearborn student
  • Experience with graphic design programs such as InDesign, Canva, Adobe, or others.
  • Excellent written communication and organization skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the university's brand identity guidance.
