Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Program Chair, this role provides direct administrative support for both the Movement Science (MOVESCI) Program Chair and Associate Program Chair. The Program Administrator is a member of the core program administration along with the Program Chair and Associate Program Chair. This role is designed to support the MOVESCI program with its operational, administrative, and programmatic needs. You will be highly involved in both daily programmatic operations and school-wide initiatives associated with program needs, development, and delivery. Responsibilities*
This is a new position for the school; therefore, we anticipate that responsibilities and the percentage of time spent on specific job functions may shift and change over time due to changing demands and career growth opportunities.
- Create, organize, and maintain program documentation and records.
- Organize, market, and manage program events, including organizing and managing travel arrangements and on-campus itinerary for program-sponsored guests.
- Provide administrative support in the documentation of annual course planning and teaching assignments and program initiatives.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the central program administration Program Chair and Associate Program Chair for task delegation and to assist with program specific record keeping and task tracking.
- Support monthly program faculty meetings (e.g., creating and preparing meeting materials, communication of meeting agendas and minutes, program decision follow up and communication to ensure organizational progress of faculty-voted items).
- Assist with course offering/curricular management including New Topics Forms and Course Change Forms.
- Attend school-wide or program specific meetings to provide administrative support.
- Potential opportunity to supervise program administrative assistant(s) in the future.
- Act as the primary point of communication between the program and School's HR and Financial Offices on matters related to the program.
- Collaborate with the Program Chair to develop annual budget requests and oversee program budget expenditures.
- Manage HR-related paperwork for the program and organize/support/assist academic HR and search committees.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience with administrative support.
- Project or program management experience.
- Experience with event coordination, including logistics management, stakeholder communication, and on-site event support.
- Experience analyzing data using Excel or spreadsheets and communicating key insights and trends through reports and visualizations.
- Experience managing project or program budgets.

Based on programmatic needs, the selected employee will be required to work full-time onsite at the School of Kinesiology Building (Monday through Friday).
