The Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) Program Office supports the learning community and goals of the School.
Job Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting activities related to the Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) Program including, but not limited to training and advising small-medium sized student clubs, supporting Program Office-hosted events such as Orientation, Commencement, workshops, and providing support for student-led conferences.
Under direct supervision from the Associate Director, Student Life, this position provides functional coordination over work assignments for a specific content area of expertise. Coordinates one or more programs within the unit's scope of responsibility and coordinates all aspects of a project or program.
This hybrid position is based in Ann Arbor, MI, with an expectation of three days per week on-site. The role may require occasional domestic travel, on-call responsibilities, and work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout employment.

Responsibilities*
Advise FTMBA Student Clubs, MBA Council, and Section Leadership (50%)
- Be lead advisor to assigned professional, affinity and social clubs.
- Manage logistics for large co-sponsored student club conferences. Support corporate sponsorship process for student club conference. Advise students on event sponsorship solicitation and fund in-take process, facilitate contracts, and provide guidance.
- Be lead advisor to MBA Council Vice President of Finance.
- Support on managing Council finances; evaluate yearly MBA Council budget requests and support new Council initiatives.
Manage Section Elections from start to finish, including room reservations, coordinating student volunteers, updating documents year-over-year, and sharing final results with other staff and the student body. - Be lead advisor to MBA1 and MBA2 Section Finance Chairs. Responsible for training Section Finance Chairs and manages the Section Dues for all 8 FTMBA Sections for approval of requests made.
- Maintain relationships with Ross and University of Michigan departments for club support.
FTMBA Program Support & Community Wide Programming (30%)
- Manage logistics planning and on-site support for MBAPO-sponsored events including Orientation, Commencement, homerooms, workshops, and more.
- Manage International Student Orientation from start to finish. Including room reservations, speakers, programming and content.
- Partner with affiliated campus entities, including other institutes or centers, schools and colleges, student clubs, admissions, alumni relations, and career services to develop and deliver student programs.
- With the Associate Director, manage the budget and reimbursement process for Health Innovation Scholar Professional Development funds.
- Manage student funding/reimbursement process for MBAPO-hosted events, case competitions, external conferences.
- With student leads, manage the Business Beyond Usual Podcast, including paying freelance vendors, approving content for the podcast, and transitioning the student leadership year-over-year.
- Help create processes related to key student engagements.
Program Office Operations (20%)
- Manage the Full-Time MBA Program Office email account.
- Manage the major events calendar.
- Identify opportunities to standardize policies and automate processes.
- Provide guidance to the Administrative Core Team for completing tasks including event planning, office management, and financial disbursements.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Must have program, project, or event management experience to include planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience maintaining relationships and channels of communication at multiple levels and with diverse groups inside and outside the organization.
- Experience executing logistics related to academic programming and events.
- Experience delivering presentations to audiences at multiple levels.
- Experience planning and managing within a budget.
- Proficiency in Google docs, sheets and slides and Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint plus other database, email and calendar-keeping software and technologies is required.

Modes of Work

Additional Information
Salary Information:
The salary offer range for this position is $53,500 - $66,100. Salary offers are determined based on several factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, along with internal equity considerations. It is not common for new hires to be placed at the top of the range.
Union Affiliation
This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
