Job Summary
The Allada laboratory (alladalab.org) at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) at the University of Michigan seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to apply molecular and genetic methods to reveal the molecular and circuit bases of sleep homeostasis and links to neurodegeneration. The position applies methods such as genetics, molecular biology, RNA-sequencing, FACS, biochemistry, confocal imaging as well as behavioral and -omic data analyses. These require accurately and effectively applying these methods with minimal supervision. The position must effectively interact with computational biologists for input and feedback, establish effective workflows for data analysis, and effectively convey results of data to both internal and external audiences in the form of oral and written presentations, including publications, following explicit guidelines. We are especially interested in those with experience with sleep in mouse models.

Required Qualifications*
Must possess a Ph.D. in neuroscience or other closely related field.

Background Screening
