Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour

  • Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
  • Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
  • Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
  • Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
  • Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
  • Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

  • Provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care models in delivering nursing care for Primary Care patients including, adult medicine, pediatric, and OB/GYN patient populations.
  • Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in person/ video visit) in-clinic hands on procedures, and other duties assigned. 
  •  Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care. 
  • Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources. 
  • Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care.

Nursing Specific Info

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*

  • Three (3) yrs. current (in the last 5 years) RN experience in Adult Internal Medicine (to include Adult Inpatient, or Adult Emergency Services, or Ambulatory Care Medicine Adult). 
  • Five (5) years experience as an RN
  • Experience working with pediatric patients
  • Experience working with OB patients

Desired Qualifications*

  • BSN
  • RN experience with Phone Triage in an ambulatory care setting      
  • RN experience with OB patients in the ambulatory care setting.
  • RN experience with pediatric patients in the ambulatory care setting. 
  • RN experience with Family Medicine patients  in ambulatory care setting.                               
  • Certification in Ambulatory Nursing

Work Schedule

  • Hours/Week: 40 hrs
  • Shift/Hours/Days: Day Shift; Mon-Fri, includes Saturdays. Hours may be variable (nontraditional including further weekends/holidays commitment) based on patient and volume need
  • Location: West Ann Arbor Health Center with potential to work in other locations with expansion of division.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
