Job Summary

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Advising and Academic Success office has an exciting opportunity for a student who is customer service oriented, flexible, calm under pressure, fun, and professional. We are in need of one Student Assistant to join our team for winter (with the possibility of staying for summer semester).  Applicant must be available to work the following shifts:

  • Mondays 8:00 am - 11:00 am
  • Wednesdays 8:00 am - 11:00 am
  • Additional hours may become available

In concert with daily office tasks, job responsibilities for this position include:

  • Answering phone calls and directing calls to appropriate office
  • Scheduling appointments for students
  • Clerical duties
  • Routing paperwork to appropriate staff
  • Google Drive file maintenance
  • Special projects
  • Assisting students/faculty with questions at the front counter
  • Monitoring office e-mail and responding to general requests or appointment requests
  • Report lost and found items to Police & Public Safety
  • Other office duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Google Drive.
  • Able to manage information in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Professional etiquette, in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to accurately handle multiple tasks while performing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to identify priority concerns and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, and to follow through on tasks.
  • Reliable and timely attendance.
  • Ability to work up to 15 hours a week.
  • Desired Qualifications
  • College Work Study preferred.
  • Availability for opening and/or closing shifts.
  • Experience with EAB Student Success Collaborative.
  • Experience with Banner.
