Job Summary
MVC seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Program Assistant to work in partnership with MVC staff on the implementation of a wide range of engagement and project-specific tasks to drive healthcare improvement at hospitals and physician organizations across the state of Michigan. You will collaborate regularly with MVCs project leads to maximize the impact of MVCs member-facing offerings and services.
This is a part-time, temporary position with a 20-25 hour per week work schedule.
Responsibilities*
- Assist with the coordination of a broad range of program tasks including member engagement, event planning, and project coordination. Brainstorm fun new ways to creatively engage and build MVCs collaborative network.
- Craft grammatically correct, well-worded, and engaging content for MVC members and partners.
- Engage with MVC members and healthcare quality improvement staff to develop case studies.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data and prepare reports on engagement initiatives to demonstrate progress toward goals.
- Support maintenance of and improvements to MVC-related websites.
- Help develop and organize materials for MVC events; occasionally attend and support logistics for special events.
- Support project staff with special projects, as needed.
Required Qualifications*
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills with a solid understanding of different engagement techniques.
- Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing, Qualtrics, Canva, WordPress, and other collaborative software tools.
- Passion for public health or the healthcare industry.
- Professional attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as needed within the state of Michigan.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
