What You'll Do
The Media Solutions Engineer will support the daily operations of our production studios, manage equipment maintenance, and provide technical support for live and recorded productions. You will work with the Media Designers to ensure the studios are up-to-date, functional, and optimized for high-quality productions. Additionally, you will maintain and document studio setups and technical workflows and processes to ensure consistency across all media productions. The Media Solutions Engineer will report to the Director of Media Design and Production.

Responsibilities*
- Oversee the daily operations of our production studios, including maintaining equipment, managing bookings, and preparing studios for multiple media production needs.
- Provide real-time support to the Media Designers during live and recorded productions, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to video, audio, and lighting systems.
- Ensure all studio equipment is up-to-date, functioning correctly, and well-maintained. Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance for audio-visual and multimedia equipment.
- Work with Media Designers and the broader media production team to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality outputs for all media-related projects.
- Oversee studio performance, recommending improvements and upgrades to equipment and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Create technical documentation for studio setups, workflows, and processes to ensure consistency across projects.
- Assess and enhance studio designs and workflows to ensure scalability and future-proofing.
- Conduct base level training sessions for staff on studio equipment troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support for special events, including possible off site productions.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelors degree in media production, audio-visual technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in studio operations, media technology support, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems used in live and recorded media production.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple studios and production schedules.
- Experience maintaining and upgrading media equipment, with a proactive approach to ensuring studio functionality.
- Collaborate with creative teams and understand the technical requirements of various media production formats.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Additional Information
The mode of work for this position is Hybrid. The work requirements for this position allow both onsite and offsite work and you will have an expected regular and recurring onsite presence. On occasion, you may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by our center's policy and domain leadership or by your job requirements. The salary for this position will be based on your education and experience. You may have occasional non-standard work hours, such as evenings or weekends. Salary Information
The general salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience for the position and internal equity within the unit. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor agreement and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
