The Childcare Provider provides child care services for Tiwahe Tewichaglapi Family Acceptance Project happening on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City, SD. The Family Acceptance Project seeks to help families support and affirm their 2SLGBTQ+ youth. The people in this position will serve as a childcare provider on an as needed basis to children (ages 10 and under) who are not participating in the program. Childcare will be provided in the same facility where the program will be occurring (i.e., caregivers will be on site). Classes will occur during time convenient for families (weekends and evenings), so it is essential that the person in this position have regular availability during this time.
Other duties may be assigned as the program is implemented. We seek to hire several individuals on the Pine Ridge Reservation and several individuals and a lead in Rapid City, SD.
Responsibilities*
Duties may include providing childcare on an as needed basis to children (ages 10 and under) who are not participating in the program. Childcare will be provided in the same facility where the program will be occurring (i.e., caregivers will be on site). Classes will occur during time convenient for families (weekends and evenings), so it is essential that the person in this position have regular availability during this time.
Other childcare related duties may be assigned as the program is implemented, for example help transporting families to the program location.
Required Qualifications*
- Must have previous experience working as a childcare provider in a daycare or babysitting
- Ability to consistently work on nights and weekends
- High School degree or GED
- Must be at least 18
- Must have a driver's license
