Job Summary
Michigan Balance Vestibular Testing & Rehabilitation, a specialty clinic at Michigan Medicine (University of Michigan Health), is seeking a Physical Therapist to join and support our multi-disciplinary team in our tertiary care center. In addition to working in a dynamic and innovative environment, this candidate must provide excellent quality care to patients with vestibular and balance disorders.
We are seeking a Physical Therapist with experience and /or training in vestibular rehabilitation. In this position, you will evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, and disorders resulting in symptoms of vertigo and/or dizziness, unsteadiness, and balance difficulties. The Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with other vestibular PTs, audiologists, and neurotologists on the team and will develop and implement customized outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans based on each specific patient?s needs and goals. The successful candidate will utilize independent clinical decision making on a daily basis and will treatment plans and will effectively educate patients on vestibular disorders and strategies for managing symptoms.

Required Qualifications*
- Masters or Doctorate degree in physical therapy and possession of (or eligibility for) a current state license to practice physical therapy in Michigan.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship is necessary.
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment, with a commitment to quality of clinical services and exceptional customer service.
- Intellectual curiosity, commitment to lifelong learning, including contributing to the learning of others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Commitment to service excellence in patient care

- The ideal candidate will have experience in vestibular rehabilitation and be able to work independently within our multi-disciplinary environment.

Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening
