Job Summary
The Robotics department is looking for a collaborative, customer-service-focused professional to provide financial management, oversight, and ethical stewardship of university and sponsor funds for an assigned group of faculty members. Research Administrators support Michigan Engineering research projects by coordinating budgets and timelines, securing funding and helping the work stay on track. This is crucial work that enables our research teams to tackle humanity's toughest problems.

Responsibilities*
- Coordinate all administrative aspects of proposal submission (pre-award), ensuring compliance with sponsor terms, University policies/procedures, and federal regulations for an assigned group of faculty.
- Provide financial management, oversight, reporting, and recommendations on Research funded portfolios (post-award) ensuring compliance with sponsor terms, University policies/procedures, and federal regulations for an assigned group of faculty.
- Manage the pre-award administrative components of proposal submission and manage the post-award process including financial management on research funded portfolios ensuring alignment with all sponsor terms, University policies, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate on non-supervision human resource administrative tasks related to post-award project management
- Provide general administrative support for an assigned group of faculty as needed.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 + years of demonstrated experience in research administration, project management, customer service, or accounting
- 1 + year of experience working with tight regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with financial project tracking and project management tools and software

Additional Information
Candidates who are not currently employed at the College of Engineering may be eligible for up to a $1500 sign-on bonus. College of Engineering candidates for whom this position represents a promotional opportunity may be eligible for up to a $1500 sign-on bonus.
