Job Summary
The emphasis of this research position is on the administration of cognitive and behavioral test measures for studies that examine the effects of medical or neurological disorders, agents and/or devices on neurocognitive performance. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with faculty and staff in lab management, including training of students along with database management and analysis. The candidate will be able to operate in a semi-independent manner to assist in clinical research and related projects.

Day to day responsibilities in this role will support all aspects of the research process. Including:
- Administer and score standardized neuropsychological tests and research instruments to research participants across the lifespan and with a range of medical disorders.
- Assist in the implementation of research protocols including participant recruitment/enrollment, survey development and distribution, data collection, coding/scoring, data entry, and longitudinal database management.
- Track, entry, monitor, and follow-up on data collection using a variety of software systems and tracking spreadsheets.
- Assist with study start-up and maintenance as needed (e.g. protocol development, regulatory e-binder).
- Assist the data manager with data management and data processing.
- Assist with presentations, grant writing, and scholarly/dissemination tasks (e.g. literature searches, scientific presentations, manuscript preparation, graph/chart creation).
- Assist with the completion and maintenance of IRB applications and other regulatory requirements.
- Responsibility for procurement processes.
- Provide other administrative support as required (meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, etc.)
- May serve as the point of contact for undergraduate research staff/volunteers.
Required Qualifications*
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of or experience with database creation, management and analysis procedures is expected.
- Candidates must have demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and preferably statistical analysis packages such as SAS and SPSS or other research laboratory programs.
Desired Qualifications*
- Associate's Degree in a Health Science or related field.
- An understanding of medical terminology, experience in a large complex healthcare setting, ability to effectively communicate with staff and faculty of all levels, and knowledge of university policies and procedures is desirable.
- Proficiency in psychometric test administration and scoring is preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical skills and superior verbal and written communication are desired.
- Experience in working with both older adults and children are preferred. Experience working with older adults and a medical population is beneficial.
Work Schedule
Must be willing to flex weekly hours to accommodate weekend testing. This position will be on site 5 days per week, with option of working remotely one day a week depending on study needs.
