Job Summary

Enthusiastic individual needed to work with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, policy-makers, and judges on project looking at experiences of women with pregnancy, childbirth, and family separation in carceral settings. The research assistant will collaborate with faculty and community partners on identifying and summarizing relevant research and data, writing literature reviews, research presentations, other tasks as assigned. This work would begin Monday, June 2, 2025.

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Performing routine research tasks, including gathering and summarizing literature; 
  • Participation in research team meetings; 
  • Assisting in dissemination of research results to stakeholders and the community, reviewing and analyzing data; and more.

Required Qualifications*

  • Enrolled in bachelor's program of Criminology, gender, sociology, or related program; 
  • Excellent research and writing skills; 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team.

Desired Qualifications*

Experience with policy, criminal justice theory and practice, passion for social justice.
