Responsibilities*
Duties include:
- Teach 2 full-time Viola Performance majors during the 2025-2026 academic year: 1 hr lesson/student/week
- Lead a weekly 1-hour Viola Technique Class (for all SMTD Violists)
- Lead a weekly 1-hour Studio Class
- Provide 3 hours per week of flexible instruction for a rotating group of viola majors. Teach a 1-hour weekly Viola for Violinists class
Required Qualifications*
A minimum of a master's degree required, with a preference for a DMA in Viola Performance. Proof of teaching experience and excellence is required. The Lecturer will contribute to maintaining a vibrant and supportive studio environment while collaborating closely with core faculty to ensure continuity of instruction and artistic development. The Lecturer will also participate in recruiting activities.
