Job Summary
In 2023, the President's Office established the Ethics, Integrity and Compliance Office (EICO). The EICO is currently seeking an experienced professional to support the work of the EICO. The EICO will help units coordinate ethics, integrity, and compliance activities and offer guidance on compliance questions across the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses, as well as Michigan Medicine. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the full scope of complex projects involving partners from multiple units across the university. The project manager will serve as the primary point of contact, assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying necessary resources, and developing project schedules and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The project manager must also be able to successfully navigate complex and decentralized environments, as the role will also be responsible for partnering with and providing direction and oversight to the ethics, integrity, and compliance plans of other units.
You will report directly to a senior-level staff member of the university's EICO. You will have independent responsibility for a significant volume and variety of administrative functions, handling matters of a confidential and sensitive nature.
You will regularly interact with senior leaders, faculty, and staff at all levels of the organization. Providing excellent assistance to EICO leadership, the position's demands are variable in nature, type, and volume. The job responsibilities are shaped by the needs of the EICO activities, which
may vary over time. This position will be primarily on-site in Ann Arbor with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule in accordance with operational needs. Occasional work on evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate the office schedule and events.
The salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000. An offer may be extended outside of the posted range based on equity, experience, knowledge, and skills for the position.

Responsibilities*
- Develop detailed project plans, scopes, goals, and metrics to track progress, involving all relevant stakeholders, and minimize risk
- Ensure that EICO projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
- Identify resource needs and ensure appropriate allocation
- Coordinate internal resources and the involvement of third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Use proper verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost
- Identify, report, and escalate issues or concerns to management as appropriate
- Build collaborative working relationships between the EICO and all stakeholders
- Create and keep comprehensive project documentation
Required Qualifications*
- A bachelor's degree in management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in managing projects
- Excellent stakeholder-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or other project management tools
- Professionalism, strong work ethic, demonstrated sense of responsibility, discretion, and reliability
- Direct experience collaborating with and presenting to C-Suite leaders
Desired Qualifications*
- Working knowledge of U-M and/or higher education organizational policies, rules, and regulations
- Background in ethics, integrity, and compliance
