Job Summary
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to all MRI staff at Childrens and Womens Hospital (C&W), Pavilion Hospital and Midnight staffing at Northville Health Center and Brighton Center for Specialty Care
Responsibilities*
- Provide supervision for assigned employees. Estimated, 30 direct reports between C&W and Pavilion.
- Accomplish radiology (MRI) objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meets radiology operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patient-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Supports patient care by resolving complex requests with physicians, radiologists, MRI technologists, and ancillary staff, improving and maintaining quality assurance program for department functions.
- On-call requirements based on every 6th week rotation. On-call is support based only, employee is not expected to come on site when paged.
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the department manager.
- Assist department manager in managing daily clinical operations of the department.
Required Qualifications*
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist
- 3 plus year as a Radiologic Technologist in any modality
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to be in stationary position (sitting or standing) up to 80% of the time.
- BLS certified
Desired Qualifications*
- MRI operational experience
- Experience in a leadership role, preferable in a health care environment.
- Willing to be flexible with hours of operation and sites of operation.
- Knowledge of the EPIC EMR system.
- Experience with project management.
Work Schedule
4x 10-hour shift, Monday - Friday, 3:00pm-1:00am
