The University Hospital Outpatient Physical Therapy team is in the heart of the main University of Michigan Hospital. We serve a diverse patient population, including U-M staff and faculty, students, as well as the broader community. Our clinic specializes in treating spine/orthopedic conditions, TMJ dysfunction, balance/falls, and vestibular disorders. We support a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where patient access and high-quality care is our top priority.

Responsibilities*
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
- Collaborate with a PTA to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Apply clinical decision-making to adapt and progress treatment based on patient needs
- Document care clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in physical therapy
Required Qualifications*
- If licensed prior to 2016: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS
- If licensed on or after 2016: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan
- This position requires Primary Source Verification
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification

Work Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week). Specific hours are to be determined.
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
