Job Summary:

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an Application Developer Senior to join the Enterprise Applications Services (EAS) team within ITS.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

This position is a two-year term limited position.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with team members and service support groups to effectively resolve incidents, enhancement requests and fixes. Monitors applications and other systems for availability, error conditions, and performance
  • Aim to develop customer-focused solutions using technical design skills and relationships with internal groups
  • Work with business system analysts in formulating requirements and advise on solutions
  • Align with application standards and procedures, such as deploying changes
  • Assignments include development, automation, configuration, customization, troubleshooting, upgrades, integration, and maintenance of systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business computing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • Experience applying appropriate technical tools to perform daily administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration.
  • Programming experience with C#, JavaScript, XML
  • Experience with .NET Core, .NET, and MVC frameworks and MS SQL Server and Oracle databases
  • Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON)

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Programmer, Systems Administrator, Systems Integrator, or related role
  • Proficiency with DevOps: Git, GitHub, MSBuild, Azure DevOps, TFS, PowerShell, NUnit, containerization (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform, including data modeling, data migration and data integration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
