Job Summary
TITLE: Patient Care Technician (TEMP)
SHIFT: Days / Evenings
TIME: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and/or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
What You'll Do
Under general supervision from a Registered Nurse or other designated official, provide moderate to complex assistance to pediatric patients.
Responsibilities*
- Perform ADLs
- Trach suctioning and urinary catheter
- Monitor patient status, record and document vital signs, Is & Os, blood sugars, and reporting any outside parameters to nurses.
- Stock and maintain inventory of specialized areas.
- Transport patients to and from designated locations.
- Assist with admitting and discharge procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical requirements: This position requires moderate standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients.
Desired Qualifications*
- Reasonable knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in patient care activities.
- CNA certificate.
- Experience in patient-facing work
- Pediatric patient experience
